373 Series Rotary Joint for Machine Tool Spindle Cooling

High-precision mechanical seal for CNC spindles, deep-hole drills and grinding machines

Overview

The 373 series rotary joint is a high-performance, high-precision mechanical sealing device developed for the machine tool industry — CNC spindles, deep-hole drills, milling and grinding machines — handling coolant, air and heat-transfer oil. The hardened stainless steel rotor shaft runs with vibration-free stability; the housing is aluminium alloy or brass; a well-balanced sealing arrangement minimizes friction; and the stationary ring is available in graphite or bronze to match different working conditions. Pressure ratings cover ≤10 bar for air, ≤70 bar for coolant and ≤105 bar for hydraulic oil, with temperature up to 120°C and speeds up to 6,000 RPM — or ≤1,500 RPM when air is the medium. Media, pressure and speed combinations are confirmed against your machine tool specification.

Frequently Asked Questions

1 What is the 373 series through-spindle rotary joint, and what are its limits?
The 373 series is a high-precision mechanical seal joint for CNC spindles, deep-hole drills and grinding machines. Pressure limits follow the medium: ≤10 bar air, ≤70 bar coolant, ≤105 bar hydraulic oil, at up to 120°C and speeds to 6,000 RPM (≤1,500 RPM with air) — with a hardened stainless shaft, aluminium alloy or brass housing and graphite or bronze stationary ring.
2 Can the 373 replace our existing spindle joint?
Yes — the media, pressure and speed combination is confirmed per machine tool specification. Send a photo of the nameplate plus the mounting dimensions (bore, flange, thread) and we will confirm interchangeability within 24 hours.
