Rotary Joint for Converters, Mud Guns & Ladle Turrets
Multi-passage slip ring for steel industry ladle turrets and converters
Overview
Purpose-built for ladle turrets, metallurgical converters and mud gun systems in steel plants, this multi-passage rotary joint independently handles the entry and exit of oil, water and air across each passage — no cross-talk between circuits, which is what a turret with a dozen services demands. Friction surfaces are honed, polished and carbonitrided, paired with imported sealing components for long life against scale and heat.
The heart of the unit is a slip ring designed with several to 20+ passages. Rated 35 MPa / 80 °C at speeds 0–200 rpm, it serves as the rotating interface between the plant's fixed piping and the equipment that swings heats, taps mud and rotates ladles — all in one sealed assembly.
Because no two melt shops are alike, each slip ring is customized to the specific equipment: passage count, port sizes and mounting follow your machine spec. To quote, send the equipment type, number of passages, media per passage, working pressure, speed and connection dimensions (or the existing joint's nameplate photo — interchangeability is confirmed within 24 hours).
Custom-built for the melt shop, quoted per project. Standard spare components ship in 3–15 days (MOQ 1 unit); complete custom slip rings are scheduled per the quotation, with outage-critical orders prioritised. Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 and serving steel producers in 70+ countries.
