RTH Series — Rotary Joint for Water/Coolant

Patented balanced-seal design for smooth media flow

Overview

The RTH series is a patented rotary joint independently developed by Ruitus on the basis of conventional H-type water joints. Its external multi-spring balanced seal keeps media flow smooth and elastic compensation uniform, and unlike legacy designs it is not affected by scaling — a common failure cause in cooling circuits. The result is a long-service, low-leakage joint for water, coolant and light-oil duty.

Maintenance was the second design priority. The sealing friction pairs are replaceable without scrapping the joint, so a worn unit is restored on-machine in minutes at a fraction of replacement cost. Internals are stainless steel with anti-corrosion treatment; the body is compact and lightweight with low frictional torque, which reduces spindle drag at high speed. Connection options cover G / BSP / NPT threads, and standard flanges can be supplied on request.

Selecting an RTH model takes four parameters: medium, working pressure, temperature and rotary speed. Standard units cover 200–3,000 rpm at up to 1.6 MPa / 120 °C. Send those four values plus your connection size to our sales engineers and we will return a firm model recommendation within one business day. If your duty involves saturated steam above 120 °C or thermal oil, the RTQ series (2.0 MPa / 350 °C) is the correct platform instead.

Commercially, standard RTH units are priced $40–200 FOB, typically 60–80% below equivalent European and American brands, with tiered volume discounts from 20 units. Every unit is produced in our 10,000 m² ISO 9001:2015 plant and ships to 70+ countries, so spare-part and re-order lead times stay short across global service networks.

Frequently Asked Questions

1 What media, pressure and speed can the RTH rotary joint handle?
The RTH series handles coolant, hot and cold water, oil, compressed air and low-pressure steam up to 1.6 MPa / 120 °C, at speeds of 200–3,000 rpm. For saturated steam above 120 °C or thermal oil service, step up to the RTQ series (2.0 MPa / 350 °C).
2 Is the RTH a direct replacement for conventional H-type water rotary joints?
Yes. The RTH is a patented improvement on the conventional H-type joint with the same installation footprint. Its external multi-spring balanced seal is unaffected by scaling, and the friction pairs are easily replaceable on-machine, cutting maintenance cost. Standard units are priced $40–200 FOB, typically 60–80% below European and American brands.
3 How do I select the right RTH model for my machine?
Send us four parameters: medium, working pressure, temperature and rotary speed, plus your connection size (G / BSP / NPT thread or flange standard). Our sales engineers will return a firm model recommendation within one business day. Standard RTH units cover 200–3,000 rpm at 1.6 MPa / 120 °C; for saturated steam above 120 °C or thermal oil, we will size you into the RTQ series instead. Replacing a specific nameplate model (an RTH 200, for example)? Send a photo of the nameplate and we will confirm the exact equivalent within 24 hours.
4 What is the price of the RTH series and do you offer volume discounts?
Standard RTH units are priced $40–200 FOB, typically 60–80% below equivalent European and American brands. Tiered volume discounts start from 20 units, and repeat orders qualify for additional framework pricing. Because we manufacture in-house in our 10,000 m² ISO 9001:2015 plant, spare parts and re-orders ship on short lead times to 70+ countries. Send your duty parameters for a firm quotation.
5 What is the lead time and minimum order quantity for the RTH series?
Standard RTH units ship in 3–15 days after order confirmation, with a minimum order of just 1 unit — so a single worn joint on a machine can be replaced without buying a batch. Large-volume orders may take longer, and the exact schedule is confirmed in your quotation. Replacement friction pairs are kept in stock for same-week dispatch.
6 Can the RTH be repaired on-site, and are spare seal kits available?
Yes. The RTH was designed for on-machine repair: the sealing friction pairs are replaceable without scrapping the joint, so a worn unit is restored in minutes with basic tools. We stock spare seal and friction-pair kits and ship them on short lead times to 70+ countries, keeping your maintenance team off the critical path.
